Dave Green Photography

I have been connected with Photography for most of my working life, having started as an apprentice at the age of 17 followed by a number of years in a top London Fashion studio.

Wanting to get into media photography I joined the BBC as a photographic technician in the Publicity Department for a couple of years, then was approached by the News & Current Affairs Department to open up a Photographic Department for them. Over the years this expanded to cover the 24 Hours programme, Nationwide, Panorama, The Money Programme and the famous Thats Life with Esther Rantzen.

This proved to be a fantastic time, even though being on call 24/7, having very tight deadlines covering riots, bomb scares, plane crashes, news & political events ruined the social life somewhat. Some of the portraits taken whilst on these programmes during this time can be seen in the "Past Portraits" section of this web site.

Eventually I decided to try for a simpler life, moved to Cornwall and opened a Photographic Studio in St Austell where I specialised in Portraits, Weddings and Commercial work with a good deal of success.
Because of personal problems I had to close the studio, but now some years later, with the advent of digital and reportage photography, plus of course the world wide web, the desire is back again.
I now specialise in portraiture, event and landscape photography.
This new web site is just a start of something new, which I hope you will enjoy with me.
